Yesterday the rallying cry was not Alaaf or Helau but
Narri, Narro. Also, in Freiburg, we celebrate the fifth season, called Fasnet in the Alemannic linguistic area and not
Karneval (Cologne) or Fasching (Munich).
A lady of our
steadfast rest of Feierabend had lined up in the cold at Freiburg's town hall (thank you, Offi!) to buy
tickets for a
Fasnet event, that is, the afternoon dress rehearsal of an
evening event.
Freiburg offers its senior citizens an afternoon of colorful
entertainment with coffee, cake, and an additional drink, to which Red Baron added a bottle of
Winzersekt (sparkling wine).
So yesterday, six Feierabend people sat in the city's sold-out Ballhaus and
watched the performances on stage.
